We’re excited to share that Groove Health has been invited to present at the Cerner Health Conference on October 13th and 14th. As in past years, Cerner is expecting thousands of attendees at the conference, however this year’s conference will be held in a virtual format due to COVID-19 protocols. Groove Health’s presentation will take place as part of Cerner’s Oncology Roadmap session, which is scheduled for October 14th. Groove Health Founder & CEO Andrew Hourani will be one of two external presenters in the session, alongside Carevive Founder & CEO Madelyn Trupkin Herzfeld.
The focus of the presentation will be Groove Health’s recent SMART on FHIR collaboration with Cerner Oncology, aimed at reimagining the way patients and clinicians manage oral chemotherapy regimens. With the rapid adoption of oral chemotherapy treatments in oncology, patients can now undergo their chemotherapy treatment in the comfort of their home, surrounded by family, with more freedom and more convenience than ever. While this new mode of treatment is preferred by patients, it comes with difficulties for clinicians. Treatment is no longer verifiable, and patient non-adherence is introduced to the equation. Groove Health and Cerner’s interoperability work brings innovative solutions to market, giving patients and clinicians easy ways to track and monitor medication compliance remotely.
If you’ll be attending CHC 2020, please join our session at 10:45am CT on October 14th.
